Structure & Studies’ Duration

The total period required to obtain the Postgraduate Diploma of Specialization is three (3) semesters.

The total number of ECTS required for the award of the Master's Degree is 90 ECTS and requires the successful completion of all offered courses in the first two semesters and the successful evaluation of the dissertation or the completion of their Internship and the two (2) independent studies in the third semester.

1st Semester

The first semester includes

  • In-person classes during two four-day sessions (November and February, usually from Thursday to Sunday) at the D.P.E.S.S., D.U.Th.
  • Synchronous and asynchronous lectures (see below) throughout the semester.
  • Exams: The second half of February, conducted remotely.

2nd Semester

The second semester includes

  • In-person classes during one four-day session (usually from Thursday to Sunday –dates depend on Orthodox Easter) at the D.P.E.S.S., D.U.Th.
  • Synchronous and asynchronous lectures (see below) throughout the semester.
  • Exams: The second half of June, conducted remotely.

3rd Semester:

Students have to choose one of the following tracks:

  • Preparation of a Master's thesis, or
  • an Internship and two Independent Research Studies (I & II).

Teaching language

Classes are taught in Greek. However, some of the courses may also be offered in the English language. The dissertation and the two Independent Research Studies can be written in either Greek or English.
