Conference Topics

Dance and sports tourism are two important sectors of recreational activities. They form a privileged interdisciplinary field that promotes interaction with other branches of science. From this perspective, the conference topics include:

 

Technologies Industry 4.0: Applications in Sports, Tourism, and Dance

 

During the conference days, roundtables and seminars will be held on topics of immediate interest to people involved in dance, recreation, and sports tourism, while oral presentations and e-posters of research level and practical interest, approved during the evaluation process, will also be presented. The conference will be held in person in Komotini but will also offer the possibility for electronic presentations via teleconferencing platforms. An announcement will be made soon

CALL FOR PAPERS

The Postgraduate Program "Sports Tourism, Event Organization, Dance" of the S.E.F.A.A. of D.U.Th. organizes a conference with the following objectives:

• Presentation of new scientific achievements in the fields of dance, sports tourism, and sports management and marketing
• Creation of favorable conditions for interaction, discussion, and socialization of the participants
• Dissemination of scientific methods and studies conducted in dance, sports tourism, and sports management
• Recording new scientific studies through the conference publications

 

General Information

• Submission of your abstract can only be done electronically. Any other attempt to submit an abstract for evaluation by the conference reviewers will not be accepted by the Organizing Committee.

Presentation of announcements can be oral or poster

• Submission of an abstract is necessary for the presentation of announcements.

• Ensure the accuracy of the details you fill in both the registration form and the abstract submission.

• Your registration for the conference must be accompanied by a financial settlement to the conference

Each oral presentation will last 10 minutes. The announcement presentation will be made in person in Komotini and via teleconferencing platforms for those choosing remote participation. A related announcement will follow. All text in the presentation files must be in Greek and in Microsoft PowerPoint format.

If you do not present your work on the scheduled day and time as set by the conference program, your work WILL NOT be posted on the relevant website.

 

Preparation of the Abstract

  • • The title of the work should be as short and concise as possible but representative of the study conducted. It should be written in uppercase bold letters in Greek and English. (e.g., EVALUATION OF THE QUALITY OF SERVICES PROVIDED BY TRADITIONAL DANCE ASSOCIATIONS IN RODOPI)
  • • The names of the authors, in lowercase bold letters, in Greek and English. (e.g., Goulimaris D., Tsitskari E.)
  • • The names of the authors, in lowercase bold letters, in Greek and English. (e.g., Goulimaris D., Tsitskari E.)
  • • The email address of the first author (or the author with whom communication will be established).
  • • The Abstract is a brief summary of the work conducted by the author(s). It has a maximum length of 300 words and includes: the problem, the purpose, the main characteristics of the participants in the research, the evaluation instruments/tools, the research design, the statistical method used for data analysis, the results, the conclusions drawn, and their practical application.
  • • At the end of the Abstract, keywords (up to 5) are mentioned. (e.g., service quality, participants, traditional dance, satisfaction, dance teacher)
  • • Briefly, your Abstract should:

                 - Have a maximum length of 300 words

                 - Not include tables, graphs, functions, or images.

                 - Use font size 11.

                 - Be written in Calibri font.

                 - Follow grammar and syntax rules.

  • • Consult the abstract example and format your abstract according to the above instructions.
  • • Ensure you select the correct conference topic (e.g., Dance and Interdisciplinary Approaches).
  • • Please select the presentation method, either in person or remotely.
  • • Note that the conference reserves the right to change the topic or presentation method of your work (oral, e-poster, or remote oral) depending on program needs. The financial settlement of your participation (if presenting a paper) should be made after the abstract approval and before the presentation.

*: Those presenting remotely can attend other conference sessions but not the roundtables and seminars.
