The Department of Physical Education and Sports Science and the Democritus University of Thrace provide a range of electronic services to all undergraduate and postgraduate students of the Department.

Ηλεκτρονική Γραμματεία

Η πρόσβαση των φοιτητών σε πληροφορίες που αφορούν την κατάσταση των σποδών τους, τις δηλώσεις μαθημάτων, τη βαθμολογία σε κάθε μάθημα κ.α. γίνεται μέσω της “Ηλεκτρονικής Γραμματείας” του ΔΠΘ η οποία είναι διαθέσιμη μόνο εφόσον προηγηθεί σύνδεση στο VPN (Virtual Private Network) του ΔΠΘ με το όνομα χρήστη και τον κωδικό που χρησιμοποιείτε στο πανεπιστημιακό email (ακόμα κι αν βρίσκεστε σε υπολογιστή εντός του πανεπιστημίου). Academic ID

The academic ID is essential for student identification when necessary (transactions with the secretariat, reduced ticket prices, etc.). The academic ID is issued through the relevant website.

Asynchronous Distance Learning

The teaching of each course is supported by the asynchronous distance learning platform –  eClass – through which there is two-way communication between students and the instructor, exchange of materials and information related to the course, conducting tests, etc.

Synchronous Distance Learning

Along with face-to-face teaching and asynchronous distance learning, there is the option for synchronous distance learning where the communication between the instructor and students occurs in real-time. This method simulates classroom teaching without requiring the physical presence of students in a specific location.

Book Provision

For each taught course, students can choose the textbook they will use. The selection and ordering of textbooks are done electronically through the "Eudoxus"service. All textbooks created within the framework of the "Greek Academic Electronic Textbooks and Aids" action are available in the open-access repository "Kallipos.".

Email

Communication between students and the Department’s and University’s services, and vice versa, is conducted via email. All students are provided with an email address, accessible through the service"WebMail“.

Digital Storage Space

Students have access to their personal files and can share them with others through the service"Pithos"“.

Free Software

Students of the Department have free access to Microsoft software through the service Office365.
